During the lockdown phase of the pandemic, director James Gunn took to Facebook to share<\/a> ten of his favorite films that have flown under the radar for one reason or another. There are some great selections on his list, including a few I haven\u2019t seen. Amongst the Guardians of the Galaxy <\/strong><\/em>director\u2019s picks is the zombie comedy One Cut of the Dead<\/strong><\/em>. <\/p>\n Gunn is an enthusiastic fan of the film but was tight-lipped about the proceedings in an attempt to avoid spoiling the experience for the uninducted. He captioned the recommendation with the following statement: \u201cTo tell you anything about this movie could hurt it \u2013 but if you love zombies and filmmaking and joy, this is the movie for you while you #QuarantineAndChill.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If you are keen to check One Cut of the Dead<\/strong><\/em> out for yourself, you can head over to Shudder<\/a> to experience the zom-com in all its glory. Fair warning: One Cut of the Dead<\/strong><\/em> is subtitled<\/a>. But please don\u2019t let that detail deter you. Some of my favorite horror films from recent years have been international offerings. <\/p>\n
